Andrew Carlson

Grew up in a small town, Sonoma CA. In childhood, my first artistic venture was my door. Many adolescents stick stickers on their door with a "keep out sign", and that's where mine started but after years of statements, knick-knacks and oddities it became living, functional art: an art piece that was created over such a long period that my transitions in life were evidenced in the layering. Sadly, before I knew of the value of expression I tossed it myself into the debris box out of some resentment of being young once: a regret I will never live down.
