My work seeks to offer the viewer a unique way of seeing the world, a world in which the ordinary becomes the extraordinary and the world becomes a more magical place. Science and religion have established that there is much more to the world than what we perceive. It is what we don’t know and what we can’t see with our eyes, that is of interest to me. Symbols are often used in my work because they transcend language barriers and cultural differences, and they communicate complex ideas with simplicity. Symbols like metaphor can suggest grander things that are beyond the ability of words to convey.
