My work reflects my philosophy, my thinking and my sense of humor. It is a combination of my mental habits. Or Sankhara, Who I am... a woman, a mother, a feminist, a liberal, a spiritual warrior, a Hungarian freedom fighter, a sometimes vegetarian, a lover of America and what it stands for. Liberty and justice for all! Many of my paintings are created from things I see in my mind. It is a bit like storytelling on canvas.
I'm in love with color, I think that's pretty obvious. I work with acrylic and finish off with water soluble oils. Also I love technology and went back to college to learn all that. The outcome was the discovery of a new tool to create with. Therefore many works are digital vector or pixel.
I was born in Budapest, Hungary in the mid-fourties and escaped with my family after the 1956 Revolution. My experiences as a child in war-torn Hungary and resettling in a strange country developed my awerness to people and to my surroundings. At first we settled in Utica N.Y. As an adult I moved to New York city, where I lived for twenty years. My home for the past thirty years, L.A. California.
