New masters paint series

Hey everyone. I was in an art store a few months ago and I remember the sales person mentioning that there is a new series of paints that have been developed that closely match what the masters used to use. They use materials that one would find, for example, back in the day when Rembrandt painted. An interesting idea.

Has anyone used these? Any thoughts on their quality? They charge a premium for these so I'm wondering if it's worth it.
