In the current economy, emerging artists are experiencing stronger than usual difficulty in finding places to show their work and develop their careers.

Visual Overture Magazine wants to empower these exceptional emerging artists by helping them make needed connections to succeed in supporting themselves with their art. We will do this first through our quarterly exhibition-in-print publication, and secondly through the distribution of ten $500 scholarships.

With our juried publication, emerging artists have the chance to introduce themselves to contemporary galleries, curators, and collectors. These avenues provide artists with opportunities to exhibit, get commissions and sales, and share their inspiring work with the world. By publishing these artists' work and relevant articles, awareness and dialogue of the contemporary arts will increase.

We will also provide $500 scholarships to ten emerging artists. This money will be used to offset costs for career development in the arts for the selected recipients.
