Galleries in LA Area

I just moved to Huntington Beach from NYC. I was pretty well entrenched in the art scene in NY but LA is so different. If anyone has ideas of where to go to get involved please let me know.

Especially if you know of any specific galleries and shows where active art scenes are trending I would love to know where everything is happening.
