Cost for Art Lessons

I've thought about giving freelance art lessons. Does anyone have any recommendations on how much to charge? I have an art degree and experience teaching but have never done it freelance.

I'd agree with Jack - if you have experience you can probably justify $50/hour especially for a private lesson. If you think about it a group art class works out to be almost that much for a few sessions anyway.

If you're good probably up to $50/hour. Most people probably won't pay that so maybe try out a few price levels. Maybe start at $20/hour and if you get a lot of interest push up to to $30 or $40 and see how high you get before people starting reacting negatively.
