Thank you for the support, I have been painting for a year off and on but honestly probaly really been doing it for 6 months . I try to paint atleast 8 paintings a week or so, I have alot of free time on my hand so want to utilize it as much as I can. I am a beginner so the more advice and feedback I get from you or anyone else is helpful , rather it be negative or positive. Painting is my passion and I love doing it as much as I can, As long as someone likes one of my paintings im content. Not everyone is going to like everything.

I've been wanting to start doing shows as well, so I can get a public opinion of my art. See what I need to change or do differently. Getting feedback from friends and family isn't really enough to go by. I'm still a beginner and want to get better.

Hey Michael - I noticed you uploaded a lot of work to the site. I'll add some comments on specific pieces on the site, but just quickly I can tell that you are incredibly creative, and if you've only been painting for a year (which I think you said to me before) the quality of your work is impressive.

Also, you're incredibly productive - the amount of work you have produced in one year is amazing.

We are going to have many shows in the future that we can include you in. One thing to think about - when doing a show usually you will have a "series" of paintings which are a number of paintings in the same medium with a common theme - either by subject matter or similar in look/style, etc. I will keep you updated on when the next show occurs and you can plan a theme/series.

Hi Michelle,
How did your show go? I've been trying to get a show at a place similar to this but haven't had any success. Do you have any tips for securing these types of shows?

How often do you have shows? Do you have a place where we can sign up and follow your shows?

Thanks.

Hey!

The show was really fun! They had live nude painters, a live painter, and a lot of great underground artists! I sold a painting that night too! I sold my painting called "Goodbye Robot!" which can be seen in one of my picture folders on this website.

As for getting my work into art shows, I just submit my work during their open calls for artists and I mainly look for open calls by following different galleries online and art forums. I would love to meet more artists that would like to come to my show and I will definitely introduce you to the curators of the galleries so you can be featured in the future! Im in the process of making a website, but for now my email address is: michekke@ucla.edu I have a few shows in october! Send me an email and I will definitely keep you updated!! :)
