Joe(J.Michael)and I have been talking about setting up a show here in Los Angeles.
Here is what we've come up with so far:
Let's use this thread to discuss and lock down the details.
Once we get the above details settled, I like for us to work hard to get the show publicized. There are a ton of local art magazines and news papers in L.A.,and I'm sure we can get some attention if we plan ahead.
Here is the artist list for our first show.
Michelle Chan
Ryan Beyer
J. Michael Ferraro
Bradley Laurent
The theme is "Dark" (I think):-)
We are going to go check out the Hangar Galleries tomorrow (Friday).
We will let you know what find. :-)
Here is one option....
I pulled this from their site:
Hangar galleries are rented on a monthly basis to include 4 Saturdays. Artists must present slides and proposal for exhibition. Hangar galleries will supervise installation of the work at $40/hour. Artist is responsible for design and printing of invitation and all promotional materials.
An opening reception is recommended on the first Saturday evening of the rental period. all costs involved are the responsibility of the artist.
If hangar galleries are involved in the sale, a 25% commission will be taken. Artists are invited to handle sales directly in which case no commission will be taken.
