Lilies

This painting I was working on when a man delivered another refrigerator that had gone out on me. He could barely speak English but he said my style was like Deigo Rivera, since I did not know his style or work and he said he painted with feeling and he saw that in my work, I learned by going to the library and collected books from used books stores and studied visually and understood better. It was then that I was also introduced to Frida Kahlo. The lilies resonate different meaning to me now. There is more feeling because of knowing their work too.
